YS Sharmila has joined Indian National Congress, recently, by merging her YSTP, YS Telangana Party, in Congress. She announced that she will work for Congress, like her late. Father YS Rajasekhar Reddy. She stated that her father wished for Rahul Gandhi to become PM, before his death. She took a vow to see that wish come true.
Upon her joining Congress, many thought that she will be made Pradesh Congress Committee President in Andhra Pradesh. Sharmila has announced that she will accept any position offered by INC high command and will work for better results for Congress in AP, in upcoming Assembly and Parliament elections.
With that announcement, she did make it clear that she is ready to take on her brother, AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy. On her visit to Delhi to meet Rahul Gandhi and join in Congress, Jagan has visited their mother in Hyderabad and even discussed with her about future political equations, as per close sources.
Now, YS Sharmila becoming PCC President and directly going against her brother in AP, could be a big setback for CM Jagan and YSRCP in upcoming elections. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan have already joined hands as TDP – JSP coalition to attack him. Now, his own sister will be fighting against him., AP Politics are really becoming interesting before the elections.
