Pawan Kalyan, Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, made sensational comments about smugglers being protagonists in recent cinema. He is touring in Bengaluru and he met Karnataka CM Siddharamaiah. Later, he met Eshwara Khandre, Forest Minister along with department officials of the state. While discussing with them about forest conservation and protection of wild life, he made above comments.

He mentioned that he saw Kannada Kanteerava Dr. Rajkumar’s Gandhada Gudi, which talked about conservation of forests. Pawan Kalyan making a sly comment said, “40 years ago films like Gandhada Gudi were being made where protagonist saves a forest while now smugglers are being protagonists.” He observed these days such negative things are being highlighted in movies, regularly.

To his credit, Pawan Kalyan never played an anti-social character on screen. Even though he did a film with title, Gudumba Shankar, the protagonist changes for love. So, his comments about smugglers or negative characters being made into protagonists does have a solid ground. Not every film needs to be socially relevant or be a moral science lesson, but hero needs to be a “good man” for sure.

Well, the actor-turned-politician has been working hard to bring the difference he promised before coming to power in AP. He is working hard to improve tourism, forest conservation and infrastructure in the state. While being Deputy CM, Pawan Kalyan is also Panchayati Raj Minister of the state and he is working towards making a difference in rural areas.
