Narendra Modi resigns and sets date for his third swearing-in ceremony

Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, is gearing up for his third term but this time as NDA Parliamentary leader. He resigned to his Prime Minister position and submitted the same to President Draupadi Murumu, on 5th June. After ECI declared results officially on their website, Modi decided to take appointment of President.

After submitting his resignation, he invited all NDA leaders like Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Nitish Kumar, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and several others for an important discussion. Before that, he officially met with all Cabinet Ministers and collectively, they submitted dissolution of Cabinet to President. She requested Union Government to continue until next government takes oath.

Upon meeting with all NDA leaders, sources suggest that Narendra Modi has been unanimously elected as Parliamentary Party president of NDA. On Friday, Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda and Rajnath Singh will meet all NDA leaders to figure out the composition of new cabinet. BJP need not had to share positions earlier with any party as they secured 282 and 303 seats, respectively, in previous elections.

Now, they secured only 240 seats, 32 behind the required 272 and hence, the Narendra Modi 3.0 government will be a coalition. It will be important for every political party get satisfactory positions as per their demand for the coalition NDA government to form government with 293 MPs. For now, the speculations state that Modi has been eyeing 9th June as the auspicious date for his third term swearing-in ceremony as Prime Minister of India.
