MLC Kavitha has been arrested on 15th March by ED, Enforcement Directorate. She has been arrested in Delhi Liquor Scam Case and ED has presented her in Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi. Judges have heard the arguments from ED lawyers – NK Matta, Zoaib Hussain and MLC Kavitha’s lawyer, Vikram Choudhary for few hours.
After hearing to their arguments, CBI special Court judge has extended MLC Kavitha’s ED Custody till 23rd March. Court has asked ED officials to present her on 23rd March morning. They have allowed her to meet family members, lawyers and get food from her house, daily.
MLC Kavitha has stated that she will fight her case in the court. She also stated that she won’t rest until she exposes BJP’s conspiracy behind her arrest. She reiterated to media that she is innocent and she is not part of the Delhi Liquor Scam.
ED has arrest Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, already in this case. Courts took time to grant him bail and ED has asked court to extend his custody, once they have arrest him. We have to wait and see, how ED will operate in MLC Kavitha’s case as elections schedule have already been announced.
