Delhi Court remands CM Arvind Kejriwal to ED Custody

Arvind Kejriwal is sent to ED Custody for six days

ED has presented Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal post arrest in front of Delhi Court. They asked the Court to remand him in custody for at least 10 days. But the Court after hearing to the arguments from both the sides has decided to remand him for 6 days of ED Custody. Earlier, ED have arrested Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi Liquor Scam Case for non-cooperation.

Kejriwal went to Supreme Court against his arrest but pulled out his petition later in the day. After being sent to custody, he spoke to media present near the court and stated that he has been arrested on the direction of Central Government and not because he has been involved in the scam. ED has called him, “Kingpin” , “key conspirator”, in the scam and hence, he has been order for the custody.

Interestingly, Anna Hazare, who has been political guru of Arvind Kejriwal commented that Kejriwal’s greed has brought his downfall. He opined that for some few crores of money, he should not have allowed Delhi Liquor Policy to be drawn in the first place. Seems like Anna Hazare has confirmed Kejriwal has a culprit.

AAP, Aam Aadmi Party. leaders have reiterated that Arvind Kejriwal will remain as CM and leader of the party. So, Arvind Kejriwal becomes the only sitting, in power CM, to be sent to ED custody in Indian politics.
