Election Commission has announced the 2024 election schedule on 16th March and they have decided to hold AP Legislative Assembly elections in May 2024. CEC Rajiv Kumar has announced that AP election gazette notification will be released on 18th April. Candidate nominations will be accepted till 25th April, 2024.
EC will conduct scrutiny of nominations on 26th April and gave time to candidates to withdraw till 29th April. The polling in the state will be held on 13th May 2024 and counting will be conducted on 4th June, along with all other states and parliament constituencies. Telangana state parliamentary constituencies will also have polling on 13th May.
On the other hand, Arunchal Pradesh elections voting will be held on 19th April, along with Sikkim and Odisha will have elections in two phases with first phase polling on 13th May and second phase on 25th May. Uniformly, all constituencies will have counting on 4th June and the date can be extended till 6th June, only.
Well, YS Jagan has already announced the final list of candidates and TDP under Nara Chandrababu Naidu and JSP under Pawan Kalyan have also confirmed their candidates. BJP has joined the alliance and their list of candidates is also awaited. Looks like Summer 2024 will be most memorable one with each political party targetting the other one to bits.
