Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan have joined hands with BJP to contest in upcoming AP Assembly Elections 2024. The biggest opposition party of Andhra Pradesh State – Telugu Desam Party, TDP has been looking to get back into power in 2024. They have won in 2014 elections after the state has been separated and in 2019, YSRCP won with thumping majority and CM Jagan took office.
Ever since then, TDP has been planning to get back to power. Pawan Kalyan, the Janasena Party chief, contested in two assembly constituencies in 2019 and lost in both. He and his party contested in the elections without being in coalition with any other party.
Later, he joined NDA and became a close friend to BJP in AP. In 2023, he has taken a decision to work hard against incumbent YSRCP as TDP chief, NCBN has been arrested in AP Skill Development Scam Case. He announced coalition with TDP, way back in 2023.
As the elections are approaching, both have them have joined hands with BJP as well. TDP senior leaders and Janasena incharges have been waiting for annoucement of the seat distribution and candidates list from long. Finally, on 24th February, both the parties have conducted a joint press meet and announced that JSP will contest in 24 MLA and 3 MP seats.

They have announced 99 candidates list out of which 94 belongs to TDP and 5 belong to Janasena. Pawan Kalyan did not announce his constituency yet. Many senior leaders from TDP also did not find their names in the first list.
TDP chief has announced that soon they will discuss with BJP and announce how many seats have been allotted to BJP and rest of their candidates list as well. AP state has total 175 MLA and 25 MP seats. In the upcoming general elections, TDP will contest in rest of the seats after distributing a fair amount to JSP and BJP. Let’s see how many BJP will be getting in this coalition.
