AP CM YS Jagan got injured by a stone hurled at him during his election campaign bus tour in Vijayawada. The shocking incident took place when he started greeting crowd assembled by standing on top of the bus along with YSRCP MLA Vellampalli. The bus tour was part of his party election campaign, “Memantha Siddham”.
He announced that in this elections, his party goal is to achieve 175 out 175 MLA seats and 25 out of 25 MP seats. With this goal, he started campaigning and kept taglines, “Siddham” and “Memantha Siddham” for his tours. This bus tour has been regarded pretty important in his campaign and he wanted to give onus to the infrastructural development and welfare schemes that his government had done over past five years and what they plan for next, if they win.
This sort of stone pelting shocked his fans and party workers. Along with him, even Vellampali had to sustain injuries near the left eye. Jagan, after taking first aid, continued his bus tour or bus yatra. Officials close to him state that he will be taken to hospital for completing precautionary scans and health check-up post the incident.
His fans and party workers are enraged by this incident and they have put forth a demand in front of EC to arrest the people responsible to this incident, immediately. For now, Jagan has decided to continue his election campaigning without any major breaks as polling is nearing in just one month’s time.
