The South Central Railway has announced the cancellation of several trains between Guntur and Visakhapatnam for three days due to essential track repair work. The disruption will affect a total of 21 train services on August 26, 28, and 30, causing inconvenience to passengers travelling between major cities like Guntur, Rajahmundry, Kakinada, and Visakhapatnam.

According to railway officials, the track repair work will take place between Tadi and Duvvada stations. As a result, all train services passing through this section on the specified dates will be suspended.

Among the cancelled services are:

Train no. 67285 between Rajahmundry and Visakhapatnam
Train no. 17267 from Kakinada Port to Visakhapatnam
Train no. 17268 from Visakhapatnam to Kakinada Port
Train no. 22876 from Guntur to Visakhapatnam
Train no. 22875 from Visakhapatnam to Guntur
Train no. 12718 from Vijayawada to Visakhapatnam
Train no. 12717 from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada

Railway authorities have urged passengers to take note of these cancellations and make necessary changes to their travel plans. The disruption is expected to affect not only end-to-end passengers but also those travelling between intermediate stations.

Passengers are advised to check the latest updates through official railway channels before planning their journey. The railway department has apologised for the inconvenience and emphasised that the repairs are necessary to ensure safer and more efficient rail services in the future. Additional arrangements like refunds or alternative bookings may be available, and passengers are encouraged to contact railway enquiry counters or visit IRCTC for more information.

The affected trains serve thousands of daily commuters, including daily office-goers, students, and long-distance travellers. Officials said the maintenance work is being carried out to enhance passenger safety and upgrade ageing infrastructure. Meanwhile, passengers can explore alternative travel options, such as bus services or rescheduling their journeys to avoid inconvenience during the repair period.
