The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has recently filed a charge sheet in connection with the explosion at the Red Fort in Delhi last year that shocked the entire country. It mentions several key issues related to the case (Delhi Red Fort Blast). It is said that the accused in this incident have links with Al-Qaeda affiliate. It has been revealed that the accused have committed this blast as part of ‘Operation Heavenly Hind’.
It is known that on November 10, 2025, a car bomb blast occurred at the historical Red Fort in the national capital, Delhi. 11 people died in this incident. The NIA has prepared a 7,500-page chargesheet in the case and submitted it to the Delhi court on Thursday. A total of 10 people have been named as accused along with the mastermind Umar Un Nabi (who died in the blast). As part of the investigation, NIA conducted searches in Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Delhi. It has recorded statements from 588 people. More than 395 documents and more than 200 seized devices were collected as evidence in the chargesheet. The investigative agency revealed that forensic and technical evidence has made it clear that there is a Jihadi conspiracy behind the blast. A total of 11 people have been arrested in this case so far.
The NIA said that the accused have links with Annar Ghazwaul Hind, an affiliate of Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent. They all met in Srinagar in 2022 and formed a new gang there, the chargesheet said. The investigation found that they conspired to overthrow the democratically formed government in India. It has been named as ‘Operation Heavenly Hind‘.
The NIA said that as part of this operation, the accused made new recruits for terror plots, stockpiled arms and ammunition and manufactured explosives themselves. The accused, who were in the medical profession, took a detour and used their skills to manufacture explosives. They converted their residences and labs into hubs. The NIA investigation found that they had also prepared Triacetone triperoxide (TATP), a highly dangerous explosive substance, in the lab. It is known as Mother of Satan. The NIA said that they have conspired to target security bases in Jammu and Kashmir as well as other parts of the country. For this purpose, experiments with rockets and drone-based IEDs have also been revealed in the charge sheet.
