CM Vijay Calls Jana Nayagan Producer: Actor turned politician Vijay is apparently putting all his energy into getting his long-delayed movie Jana Nayagan out on schedule, after he started working as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. From what’s being said in recent reports, Vijay has allegedly told producer Venkat K Narayana from KVN Productions to wrap up his stay at the Cannes Film Festival asap and then focus on the film’s release prep.
CM Vijay Calls Jana Nayagan Producer
So, reports claim producer Venkat K Narayana, who was in Cannes for the festival, has now cut the trip short. He’s said to be heading back to Chennai after Vijay’s instructions. Right now, fresh attempts are reportedly underway to lock in the required permissions , and to push the release process forward without more delay.
Jana Nayagan delay reasons
The film has been stuck for months , mainly because of problems linked to certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Also earlier, it was expected to arrive before, this year. But then reports surfaced that the CBFC raised objections about a few scenes and dialogues. There were even talks around the film’s political angle and how it might land during the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections , which made things more complicated.
On top of that, the movie reportedly took a rough hit when some parts were leaked online before the official release. This then triggered piracy fears , and the makers later moved toward legal action, as you’d expect.
Last movie before politics?
Jana Nayagan is being described a lot as Vijay’s final full movie before he goes all in on politics full time. Because of that, the project is getting major attention from fans and the Tamil film scene too , for obvious reasons.
In the film, Vijay is starring alongside Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol , and Mamitha Baiju. The music is by Anirudh Ravichander.
After these latest reports, fans are now watching closely for any confirmed word about the release date. Social media has already started buzzing with reactions from Vijay supporters , especially since the film is being viewed as an emotional, reported farewell piece from cinema.
