‘Kamala’ is flourishing in Trinamool’s fortress…BJP’s victory in Bengal

Big changes are happening in the politics of West Bengal. The Trinamool Congress (TMC), which has been an unstoppable force for the past ten years, has suffered a severe setback this time. As per the trends received till Monday afternoon, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in 188 seats out of total 294 seats and is heading towards power. The ruling party TMC is trailing behind with only 100 seats.

Abhishek Banerjee’s challenge.
Diamond Harbor MP, Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee’s recent challenge to the central government is now a topic of discussion. When the Election Commission ordered repolling in Falta constituency, he made strong comments on X (Twitter). “The ‘Gujarati gang’ at the Center has done nothing to my Diamond Harbor model. If they dare, the Union of India (Government of India) should come and face me in Falta,” he challenged. However, political analysts and intellectuals strongly objected to the word ‘Union of India’ used by him. The comments were criticized as questioning the integrity of the country. Looking at the current results, analysts are of the opinion that Abhishek’s arrogant comments have bought the party.

What happened in Falta?
Complaints were received that TMC cadres committed irregularities and obstructed voters in the polling held on April 29 in Falta constituency. With this, the Election Commission has ordered repolling in 285 booths on May 21. In this order, IPS officer Ajay Pal Sharma from UP has been appointed as the election observer. This officer played a key role in stopping the TMC candidate and strong leader Jehangir Khan from agadas. Mamata Banerjee, who created a boom with 215 seats in the 2021 elections, this time the voters gave a shock. BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari revealed that the people of Bengal have given a verdict against corruption and anarchy. On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee advised her workers that the counting is not over yet and wait for the final results. With the BJP comfortably crossing the magic figure of 148 for now, the saffron flag is almost certain to fly for the first time in West Bengal.
