Her Journey in Music
Asha Bhosle entered the music world as the younger sister of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. In the beginning, she struggled a lot to make her own identity.
Her career started in 1943 with a Marathi film “Majha Bal.” Later, in the 1950s, she moved to Bollywood. She got huge recognition across India with the film “Sangdil” (1952). Movies like “Parineeta” and “Boot Polish” made her more famous and top notch
she also created a new trend by working with music director R. D. Burman. Songs like “Aaja Aaja,” “Piya Tu Ab To Aaja,” and “Yeh Mera Dil” became huge hits with their modern and western style.
