Sudheer, who is married to Mahesh Babu’s sister, often finds himself asked if he ever calls the actor “bava” (a Telugu term used for brother-in-law). During a recent media interaction, Sudheer smiled and clarified that although the term would be perfectly fitting, he has never actually used it. “It just feels a little strange to say it out loud,” he admitted, adding that the two share a comfortable and respectful bond without the need for formal titles.
The actor also spoke honestly about how being related to a major star like Mahesh Babu has affected his journey in the film industry. He explained that while such connections might make it easier to get noticed initially, they cannot guarantee success. “Your background can open doors, but your talent and dedication decide how long you stay in the room,” he said. Sudheer emphasised that he has always aimed to build his career on his own merit rather than relying on family ties.
When asked if Mahesh Babu ever offered him advice or support, Sudheer mentioned that Mahesh is always encouraging but gives him complete space to grow as an individual. “He has always been supportive, but he lets me make my own choices, both the good ones and the mistakes,” Sudheer noted.
As Jatadhara prepares for its release on 7 November, Sudheer expressed confidence in the film and excitement about audience reactions. He said he hopes people will see how much effort has gone into the project and appreciate it for its story and performances rather than any celebrity connections.
