The trailer for the upcoming Tamil film Usure was launched on Wednesday. The movie is a rural love story inspired by real-life events. It stars TJ Arunachalam and Janani Kunaseelan in the lead roles and is directed by Naveen D. Gopal. The film is produced by Mouli M. Radhakrishna and is set to release on 1 August.
At the trailer launch event, veteran actress Raasi, who plays the heroine’s mother in the film, shared her excitement. She said, “In the film Preyasi Raave, I slapped the hero Srikanth and it became a super hit. I’ve done the same in Usure. Let’s see if this film is also successful. My role in this film will surprise many viewers.”
Raasi praised the director’s vision and the producer’s effort, saying the film was made on a grand scale. She added that Usure features an unexpected twist that will keep audiences engaged.
Director Naveen D. Gopal shared that the trailer was shown to renowned actor Kamal Haasan, who appreciated the work. “He said it gave him the experience of watching a pure Telugu film,” Naveen said proudly.
Producer Mouli M. Radhakrishna said the film focuses on a social issue that has become a topic of discussion in many communities. “We’ve tried to address it with a meaningful message. Raasi’s role is powerful and central to the story,” he said.
Usure aims to bring a blend of romance, emotion, and social awareness to the screen. With its strong cast, emotional depth, and real-life inspiration, the film hopes to leave a lasting impact on the audience when it releases in cinemas next month.
