Tripti Dimri: “Filming Made Me Cry Every Single Day”

Tripti Dimri has made a name for herself in the film industry, especially after her standout performance in “Animal,” which garnered her significant attention from the youth audience. Recently, she showcased her talent in “Bad News,” a film with a distinctive storyline. In a recent interview, Tripti opened up about her early career, revealing that she initially knew very little about acting.

Reflecting on her journey, she shared, “I struggled academically, which led me to pursue modeling instead.” When she disclosed this decision to her parents, they were initially unsupportive. Nonetheless, she remained determined to break into the industry. During her early days, she faced challenges, including working with a director of photography unfamiliar with concepts like point-of-view shots, all while she was still learning the fundamentals of acting.

Eager to improve, Tripti frequently engaged in discussions about each scene with her fellow actors. She admitted to grappling with self-doubt and often questioned whether she had made the right choice in her career. “I cried every day on the set of ‘Laila Majnu,’” she recalled, noting her struggle to understand the language used in dialogues. To overcome this, she practiced her lines diligently at home.

Currently, Tripti is juggling three upcoming films. One of them, directed by Anees Bazmee, stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, alongside well-known actors Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit in pivotal roles. This film is set to be released during the Diwali celebrations this year. Additionally, she will appear in “Dhadak 2,” further establishing her footprint in the industry.
