Thammudu star Varsha Bollamma, who began her career in supporting roles, has now become a sought-after actress in Telugu cinema. She gained popularity with films like Middle Class Melodies, Swathi Muthyam, and Ooru Peru Bhairavakona, winning the hearts of Telugu audiences with her natural performances.
Now, Varsha is back on screen with Thammudu, where she stars as one of the female leads alongside Sapthami Gowda. The film releases this Friday and is receiving a warm response, particularly for Varsha’s performance. She also took an active part in promoting the film and opened up about some personal memories and favourites during interviews.
In a recent promotional interaction, Varsha shared a humorous and nostalgic story from her childhood. She revealed that she has watched Ravi Teja’s Vikramarkudu nearly 50 times! During a summer holiday, she stayed with her cousin’s family for 50 days. Her cousin sister, a huge fan of Vikramarkudu, would watch the film every single day, without fail.
“We had the DVD, and my cousin was obsessed with the songs in Vikramarkudu. She’d watch the entire film just to enjoy the songs. If we skipped a day, she’d be really upset, so I had no choice but to watch it with her,” Varsha laughed.
Interestingly, Varsha didn’t know much Telugu at the time, but after watching it a few times, she memorised the dialogues. “Even though I didn’t understand everything, I found the film very entertaining. It’s still one of my favourites,” she said with a smile.
As Thammudu continues its theatrical run, fans are appreciating Varsha’s talent and charm, both on and off screen.
