SJ Suryah equates Saripodhaa Sanivaaram to Nani's Baasha

SJ Suryah has become one of the most sought after actors of Tamil and Telugu Cinema. After his blockbuster stinct as a director, he is now ruling the roost as an actor. His latest films like Mark Antony, Jigarthanda Double X, Raayan have been successful at the box office. Now, he is playing antagonist role in Nani’s Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.

The movie team has started promotions eyeing the 29th August release date. Nani and SJ Suryah have started giving interviews as part of the promotional activities. SJ Suryah looked completely excited by his character and the film. He called it as Nani’s Sholay and Baasha. He said, “My character is like Sholay’s Gabbar Singh – demonic and wild. Nani is like Baasha, who reacts only on Saturday.”

Further expanding, SJ Suryah stated, “Baasha has been a great template for Indian Commerical cinema. But writer-director Vivek Athreya found a way to keep it fresh. For a word given to his mother, Nani’s Surya character in the film, reacts only on Saturdays. She wants him to enjoy his life while his anger takes over him. So, this way, he tries to be normal on other days but explodes on Saturdays.”

While SJ Suryah jovially called these details as “Surya leaks”, Nani stated that he doesn’t mind people being prepared with such details. Nani called Vivek Athreya as “India’s Best Screenplay Writer” and reiterated that Ante Subramanyam is his failute as he is not supposed to be cast as a lead after becoming a star. He stated that Athreya rectified that in Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.

SJ Suryah further remarked that Nani has a great sense of camera and how to conserve his energy between shots. He stated that he got into a habit of looking towards Nani, if the shot will be “okay” or not. Well, their camraderie off the screen is so pleasant to watch and the duo promises their chemistry to be menacing on screen. DVV Danayya is producing the movie with Priyanka Mohan in leading lady role.
