Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan’s much-awaited film Parashakti is nearing completion and is set to release worldwide on 14 January 2026 as a grand Pongal treat for fans. Directed by Sudha Kongara, known for her acclaimed film Soorarai Pottru (Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra in Telugu), the movie is said to be in the final phase of shooting, with the team working quickly to wrap up production and begin post-production soon.
Following the huge success of Amaran, Sivakarthikeyan had high hopes for his last film Madarasi, but it failed to impress audiences. With Parashakti, he is now looking to make a strong comeback at the box office. The film’s makers are confident it will put the actor back on the success track.
Music for Parashakti is being composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, whose energetic and soulful tracks have already created buzz. The movie features a strong supporting cast, including Jayam Ravi, Atharvaa, and Rana Daggubati in important roles. Tollywood’s popular actress Sreeleela plays the female lead, adding further excitement among fans.
Produced by Aakash Bhaskaran under the Don Pictures banner, Parashakti is being made on a massive budget, promising a grand cinematic experience with high production values.
However, the Pongal season will see intense competition at the box office. Alongside Parashakti, major films like Shankaravaraprasad, Prabhas’ Raja Saab, Anaganaga Oka Raju, and Vijay’s Jananayagan are also slated for release.
Though Sivakarthikeyan is primarily a Tamil actor, he has gained strong popularity among Telugu audiences through his dubbed films. With the powerful combination of Sudha Kongara’s direction and G.V.
