The South Indian film world is eagerly waiting for the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2025. The grand event will take place in Dubai on September 5 and 6.
SIIMA began in 2012 and has grown stronger every year. This will be the 13th edition of the awards, which celebrate the best talent in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema.
For the last two years, SIIMA has been held in Dubai, and this year is no different. The event will honour the best films, actors, and filmmakers from the South Indian film industry.
The SIIMA committee has now released the list of nominations. In the Telugu category, Pushpa 2, starring Icon Star Allu Arjun and directed by Sukumar, is leading with 11 nominations. The film was a huge hit at the box office and broke several records.
Pushpa 2 is followed by Kalki 2898 AD, starring pan-India star Prabhas and directed by Nag Ashwin, with 10 nominations. Another popular film, HanuMan, directed by Prasanth Varma and starring Teja Sajja, also received 10 nominations. All three films were big hits with both critics and audiences.
In Tamil, Amaran topped the list with 13 nominations. Lover Pandi received 8, and Valai got 7 nominations.
In Kannada, Bheema and Krishna Pranaya Sakhi each received 9 nominations, while Ibbani Tabbida Illiyali got 7.
In Malayalam, Aadu Jeevitham, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, led with 10 nominations. ARM9 and Aavesham followed with 8 nominations each.
Fans are now eagerly waiting to see which stars and films will win big this year at SIIMA 2025.
