Telugu actress Samantha recently attended the 24th TANA (Telugu Association of North America) conference and spoke emotionally about her connection with Telugu audiences. She said that no matter what she does, her first thought is always about her Telugu fans. She called it a lucky moment to stand on the TANA stage and speak to the people who have supported her from the beginning of her career.
Samantha, who recently turned producer with the successful film Shaakuntalam, said she always dreamed of thanking her fans publicly. She shared that it took her 15 years to stand on such a stage and say “thank you” to the people who made her who she is today. “Since Ye Maaya Chesave, Telugu people accepted me as one of their own,” she said.
The video of her emotional speech has now gone viral on social media. She also thanked the North American Telugu audience for supporting her production debut, Shaakuntalam, saying most of the love came from them.
Samantha added that she sees Telugu cinema as her home. “Whatever decision I make in life, I always think of Telugu fans. You have given me a special identity. I still remember how Oh! Baby earned one million dollars in the US,” she said. She also said that even though her fans are far away, they are always close to her heart.
Samantha is currently working on two upcoming films—Raktha Brahmandam and Maa Inti Bangaram. Her emotional words at TANA have once again shown the deep bond she shares with Telugu audiences.
