Recent speculation around South Indian superstar Allu Arjun taking over the lead in the upcoming Shaktimaan film has been put to rest. Industry insiders have confirmed that Ranveer Singh remains the only actor officially attached to the much-anticipated superhero project.
The rumours, which spread across social media following fan-made posters and online chatter, suggested that Allu Arjun might replace Ranveer Singh in the modern retelling of the classic Indian superhero saga. However, sources close to the production have clarified that there is no truth to these claims.
The film is being directed by Basil Joseph, known for the Malayalam superhero hit Minnal Murali, and is being developed by Sony Pictures India in collaboration with Mukesh Khanna’s Bheeshm International. Ranveer Singh has been in talks for the role for quite some time, and according to reports, the project was envisioned with him in mind.
Neither Allu Arjun nor the makers of the film have made any statements suggesting his involvement. Meanwhile, Ranveer continues to be the central choice for bringing the legendary character back to the big screen.
The Shaktimaan reboot is one of the most awaited Indian superhero films in development, aiming to blend nostalgia with high-end cinematic storytelling. While fans of both stars may continue to dream, for now, it’s official, Ranveer Singh is still India’s next Shaktimaan.
