Pushpa 2: The New All-Time Champion of Indian Box Office

Pushpa 2

Icon Star Allu Arjun and National Crush Rashmika Mandanna have taken the box office by storm with their latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. Directed by the creative genius Sukumar, the movie hit theaters on December 5 and has been making waves ever since. With music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, the big-budget film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and has set new benchmarks in the Indian film industry.

From its opening day, Pushpa 2 has been on a record-breaking spree, both in terms of collections and ticket bookings. Notably, the movie has created unprecedented milestones on the popular ticketing platform, BookMyShow.

Previously, the record for the highest number of tickets booked on the platform was held by Kannada star Yash’s blockbuster KGF 2, with 17.01 million tickets. It was followed by Prabhas’s Baahubali 2 and RRR in second and third positions, respectively. However, Pushpa 2 has dethroned these films to secure the top spot. Within just 17 days of its release, Pushpa 2 amassed a staggering 17.27 million bookings, surpassing KGF 2 to become the most-booked movie on BookMyShow.

As the film entered its third weekend, it maintained its exceptional performance with super bookings, taking the overall count to an incredible 18 million tickets. This unprecedented achievement has set a benchmark that trade analysts believe will remain untouched for a considerable time.

With its phenomenal success at the Indian box office, Pushpa 2 has not only dominated ticket bookings but also reaffirmed Allu Arjun’s growing stature as a pan-India star. It remains to be seen which film can challenge this historic milestone. Until then, Pushpa: The Rule continues to reign supreme.
