Nara Rohith surprised everyone with a very thought provoking film like Prathinidhi. The questions asked by the movie are completely worth of their salt while they seem like silly doubts too. In the by-election resulted by this ousting, another businessman(Prithviraj) gets an opportunity to contest against Minister. Analysis:
Nara Rohith after a long time appeared in this movie and he performed well. His looks are a problem for him but he managed to deliver a performance that overshadows his looks. At the same time, he did not really find a perfect script to turn Prathinidhi into an IP. Makers did announce Prathinidhi 3 at the end of this film but it doesn’t look palpable. Main reason for that is the weak writing and more than that even weaker execution.

Makers seem to have believed that putting a song, a fight and giving hero some “elevation” slow motion shots make any movie a commercial film. But the story needs to have some incredible believability as well while we watch the film. News Channels represent ideals but not the reality. Even if we take it as “aniticpated and fictional reality”, the scenes don’t really come out as makers anticipated. Each one feels as disjointed as two parallel tracks. Rather than each being connected to as a chain, with such parallel track narration, we never connect with any character of emotion.

Everything seems to have been “researched” and “written” to force fit the ideas of filmmakers into a “supposedly” commercial formula. A hero introduction song, unrealistic fights, characters that suddenly appear, everything feels like a short film that has been attached together. Makers needed to find a flow in the screenplay that makes us all notice how things were flowing rather than film going on and on about something that we never care for. On the whole, Prathinidhi 2 could have been a good political drama with a better script.

Positives:
Technical aspects are fine
Nara Rohith’s performance
Jisshu Sengupta is good

Negatives:
Weak plot
Weak execution
Lack of connectivity
Disjointed Narrative
Forced Commercial elements
