Prasanth Varma has become one of the most sought after directors post surprising success of HanuMan, this Sankranti. The movie collected a huge Rs.300 crores plus gross at the global box office and it has kick started his ambitious PVCU, Teja Sajja, the main lead, has been looking to make superhero genre his own thrilled by this success. The movie team has celebrated 100 Days celebrations on Hanuman Jayanti. During the event, the young director spoke passionately about his plans.
Director Prasanth Varma stated that he is thrilled to see his film HanuMan celebrating 100 Days and coined it as Historic 100 Days Celebrations. He wished everyone Happy Hanuman Jayanti and stated that he did not think they will celebrate 100 Days celebrations at the time of Hanuman’s fifty days celebration. But producer Niranjan wished that they can do a hundred days celebration as well. Still, he did not believe it yet he is standing at the function as we speak.
He remembered films like Indra, Samarasimha Reddy, Nuvvu Naaku Nachchav, Khushi, Pokiri celebrating 100 Days as a child. He stated that he had been sad that trend has changed as every film has turned a one weekend run at theatres. But he expressed gratitude to movie-goers for celebrating their movie in theatres. He stated that every day in the 100 days of HanuMan, each day saw same response as the first day.
He thanked Teja Sajja, producer and all actors for such making the movie such memorable one. He went on to talk about his ambitious PVCU (Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe). He said, “It has been a dream for me for a long time. I am going to spend the next twenty years on this. The roles you play in this universe are coming again. Samudrakani is going to be seen as a different person. Teja continues as Hanu-man. Some surprise characters are also coming. Many big stars from all industries are going to appear in PVCU. Movies from PVCU will live up to all your expectations and delight you.”
He concluded by expressing great confidence on his upcoming PVCU films. He said, “I am confident that we will make the Telugu audience proud. We are making Jai Hanuman as the biggest film. Great emotions connected VFX are all there. I want you to support me like this and make the movie play for 100 days. Thank you all. Jai Sriram..
