Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi and National Award-winning actress Nithya Menen are in the lead roles in Thalaivan Thalaivi, a romantic family drama directed by Pandiraj. The film is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films under the presentation of TG Thyagarajan, with Senthil and Arjun Thyagarajan as producers.
The film features a strong supporting cast, including Yogi Babu, RK Suresh, Chemban Vinod Jose, Saravanan, and Deepa. The makers earlier announced that the film would release on 25 July in both Tamil and Telugu (as Sar Madam). The official trailer has also been released.
According to the trailer, Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen play a married couple with plenty of humorous moments between them. Vijay’s performance, with his signature dialogue delivery, body language, and comic timing, stood out and created a good buzz around the film.
However, while the Tamil version is ready for release, the Telugu version seems to have gone silent. Tickets are not available, and there has been no proper update from the makers. This has led to confusion among Telugu fans, who are now discussing the situation on social media.
Some fans believe that the makers may have delayed the Telugu release to avoid a clash with Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which is currently running in theatres. Others think the film might get a late release or directly go to OTT.
So far, there is no official statement from the producers. Fans are eagerly waiting for clarity. Recently, it was announced that Amazon Prime Video has acquired the digital streaming rights, raising the possibility of a direct OTT release for Telugu audiences.
For now, Telugu cinema lovers are left guessing as they wait for news on when or how they can watch Thalaivan Thalaivi in their language.
