Nivin Pauly’s Sexual Assault Case in Malayalam Cinema

According to the complaint, an actress was taken to Dubai in November last year under the guise of offering her a film opportunity. She has accused Nivin Pauly of sexual assault. The police have registered a non-bailable case against six individuals, including Pauly. Among the accused are a producer and other industry figures. Nivin Pauly, who is the sixth accused, is now a subject of widespread attention on social media.

Nivin Pauly, a prominent actor in Malayalam cinema, is also known for his work in other languages. He made his Telugu debut with the film Premam and regularly releases two to three films annually. This year, he will appear in Malayalee from India and has also acted in the Tamil film Saath Kadal Saath Malai.

The case has prompted significant responses from the industry. Director Ranjith, and actors Siddique and Jayasurya are also facing legal scrutiny. In response, the Kerala government has established a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the allegations thoroughly.

In light of these developments, Mohanlal has resigned from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), urging the public not to let the investigation tarnish the industry’s reputation. Mammootty has expressed support for the report’s recommendations, emphasizing the collective responsibility to ensure a safe working environment for women in the industry.
