Nithiin is hoping to make a strong comeback with his upcoming low-budget film Yellamma. The young Tollywood actor has been releasing films one after another, but success at the box office has been hard to find. Since his hit film Bheeshma, Nithiin has struggled to deliver another blockbuster.
In 2025, he already appeared in two films. The first was Robinhood, which released in March. It received mixed reviews and had an average run at the box office. His second release, Thammudu, directed by Venu Sriram and produced by Dil Raju, released with high expectations but failed badly, becoming a major flop.
Now, Nithiin has shifted his focus to Yellamma, a new project directed by Balagam fame Venu Yeldandi. The film is being produced by Dil Raju, and pre-production work is in full swing. Casting is currently underway, and the team is finalising locations. According to film circles, the shooting is expected to begin in September 2025.
Due to the failure of Thammudu, there are reports that the budget for Yellamma has been reduced. Changes are also being made to the script to fit the new financial plan. Another rumour suggests that Dil Raju has offered a profit-sharing deal to Nithiin instead of a fixed fee. Sources say Nithiin has agreed, meaning he will earn based on the film’s performance.
With reduced risks and a trusted team, fans are hopeful that Yellamma will mark a turning point in Nithiin’s career. Whether this film can finally give him the much-needed success remains to be seen.
