Nandamuri Balakrishna continues his box office reign with another 175-day hit. Tollywood star Nandamuri Balakrishna has once again proven his box office strength as his latest film, Daaku Maharaja, successfully completes 175 days in theatres. Released during the Sankranti festival earlier this year, the film’s long run has delighted fans, who are celebrating the achievement in grand style.
What makes this even more impressive is that Dacoit Maharaja marks Balakrishna’s fourth consecutive film to reach the 175-day milestone. His previous releases—Akhanda, Veera Simha Reddy, and Bhagavanth Kesari—also achieved the same feat, showing his consistent popularity and drawing power.
Globally, Dacoit Maharaja has grossed around ₹126 crore, showcasing Balakrishna’s solid box office stamina. One of the highlights of this record run is the Venkateswara Theatre in Chilakaluripet, which has screened the film with four shows daily since its release on 12 January.
In the current Telugu film industry, such a streak is rare among senior actors. Balakrishna’s success stands out as unmatched, making him one of the most bankable stars in Tollywood today.
Meanwhile, the actor is currently busy shooting for Akhanda 2 – Tandavam. Directed by Boyapati Srinu, this film is nearing completion and is already creating a strong buzz. As a pan-India project, expectations are high that Balakrishna will showcase his mass appeal beyond the Telugu-speaking audience. The film stars Pragya Jaiswal and Samyuktha Menon, with music composed by Thaman. Akhanda 2 is set to release on 25 September.
With back-to-back long-running hits and another major project on the way, Balakrishna continues to maintain his dominance at the box office.
