Nagarjuna Akkineni’s most awaited film, Kuberaa, with director Sekhar Kammula is all set to release tomorrow, and what makes this collaboration stand out is the complete trust Nagarjuna placed in the filmmaker’s vision.

Speaking ahead of the release, Nagarjuna shared that he didn’t request any changes to the script of Kuberaa, a rare move in an industry where star input is common. “I’ve wanted to work with Sekhar Kammula for a long time,” he said. “From Anand onwards, we’ve all seen how meaningful and beautifully made his films are. His stories always carry a strong social message, while still being commercial and entertaining. And his music is always fantastic.”

When Nagarjuna was asked if Sekhar adapted the Kuberaa script to match Nagarjuna’s star image, the actor replied, “Not at all. He went ahead with exactly what he had envisioned. I didn’t ask for any changes either, changing it would have spoiled the core of the story.”

Nagarjuna also revealed that he spoke with his son Naga Chaitanya, who had previously worked with Sekhar, before signing the film. “Chaitanya told me Sekhar’s working style is amazing and that I’d enjoy every part of it. And that’s exactly what happened.”

With the film now ready to hit theatres, anticipation is running high. The project brings together two creative forces known for their distinctive styles and with Nagarjuna placing complete faith in Sekhar’s script, audiences can expect an unfiltered Kammula experience, brought to life by one of Telugu cinema’s most seasoned stars.
