Naga Chaitanya after Thank You film and Dhootha Web-series, has decided to come up with Thandel. He is playing the character of Fisherman in this film. He hails from Srikakulam and Chaitanya will be seen talking in dialect from that area. He seems to have worked hard on getting the dialect right.
He went to fisherman villages in Vizag, Srikakulam to understand their lives and dialect right. Chandoo Mondeti who made Premam and Savyasachi with Chaitanya is directing Thandel. After Karthikeya 2, the director is confident about pulling this big budget movie on Pan-India level as well.
Movie team has released the Essence of Thandel teaser on 6th January after slight delay. Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for the film. Thandel Raju, Naga Chaitanya’s character, is highly patritotic and he gets arrested by Pakistan army. How will he come back from Paksitan seems to be the story. It is based on true events.
Sai Pallavi is playing the leading lady role, referred to as Bujji Thalli. Movie team is confident about the film and we can see why in the teaser. Geeta Arts is producing the film. While there are films like Veer Zaara, Cheliya, Roja, Sita Ramam, Maryan and Sarabjeet with similar themes, each one had separate flavor and Thandel seems to have its own flavor, too.
