Nag Ashwin plans new Rajinikanth amid Prabhas delays

Nag Ashwin has already completed the script and pre-production work for the film, Kalki 2. He is ready to start filming whenever Prabhas is available. However, Prabhas’ packed calendar and prior commitments have pushed the project back.

Several Tollywood films have been delayed due to actor Prabhas’ busy schedule. One of the most awaited is Kalki 2, the sequel to the super hit Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. After the success of the first film last year, fans had high expectations for the sequel.

Due to the delay, Nag Ashwin is reportedly planning another film while waiting for Prabhas’ dates. The director had initially prepared a female-oriented story for Alia Bhatt and discussed it with her. But Alia Bhatt is also busy with consecutive projects. As a result, Nag Ashwin is exploring options with another star hero.

Producers have arranged a meeting between Nag Ashwin and Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. Recently, Nag Ashwin shared an interesting story idea with Rajinikanth, who liked the concept and reportedly asked for a full script. If everything goes as planned, the film will be produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.

Producer Ashwinidath and Rajinikanth are known to have a strong working relationship and have wanted to collaborate for a long time. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has previously shown interest in working with Telugu directors, hearing scripts from Vashishta and Vivek Atreya, though none of those projects materialised.

Fans are now curious to see if Nag Ashwin’s full narration will impress the superstar and whether the new project with Rajinikanth will take off while waiting for Prabhas’ dates for Kalki 2.
