Actress Manju Warrier is set to captivate audiences with her upcoming film Vettaiyan. Recently, she participated in an interview to promote the film and expressed her excitement about sharing the screen with superstar Rajinikanth for the first time. Additionally, she shared her joy over the song “Manasilayo,” which has gone viral and garnered significant attention.
In the interview, Manju reflected on her journey in Tamil cinema. “I have done a lot of Tamil films, and last year, I entertained the audience with Thunivu,” she said. She recalled how, during the narration of Thunivu by director H. Vinod, it was initially unclear who would be playing the lead role. “It was only after the project was greenlit that it was revealed Ajith would be starring in it. I felt incredibly happy at that moment,” she added.
Manju also spoke about her involvement in Vettaiyan, sharing her initial reaction to the project. “When TJ Gnanavel approached me with the script for Vettaiyan, I was shocked to learn that superstar Rajinikanth would be playing the lead role. It was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.

The actress expressed her delight regarding the song “Manasilayo,” which has become a significant hit. “We are thrilled that the song has gained such immense popularity. This song stands out in my career; despite having numerous songs in Malayalam, none have achieved this level of craze,” she stated. She also noted that the choreography for the song is simple yet effective, contributing to its success.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan is a pan-Indian film that features a star-studded cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan in pivotal roles. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film is set to be released on October 10.
Recently, Rajinikanth shared his thoughts on the film, stating, “We have completed the film and fulfilled our responsibilities. Now, we await the audience’s response. We made it on a grand scale to entertain viewers. The song ‘Manasilayo,’ which was released from our film, has already gained a lot of popularity. Choreographer Dinesh played a crucial role in making the song a success with his simple yet effective choreography. The music by Anirudh Ravichander is also commendable.”
