Devara is NTR’s highly anticipated second film following his collaboration with Ram Charan in RRR. Prior to this, he starred in Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, directed by Trivikram. In Devara, he will play the characters of Devara and Varada.

Janhvi Kapoor is set to make her debut in the Telugu film industry with Devara, taking on the role of Thanga. Sources indicate that her character will have a more significant presence in the film’s second part compared to the first.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is also making his Telugu debut in Devara, where he plays the role of Bhairava. Reports suggest that his character will be even stronger in Part 2, complementing NTR’s role.

Devara is an action drama set in the 1980s and 90s, offering a unique concept that distinguishes it from typical commercial films. NTR will portray a character who instills fear in those who live courageously.

Director Koratala Shiva’s complete story, if filmed in its entirety, would exceed a runtime of nine hours. This is why Devara is being produced in two parts. The climax promises to be a highlight, with the last 40 minutes featuring thrilling sequences.

For the underwater scenes, NTR underwent special training, with the filming taking place in a 200-square-meter set over 35 days, where artificial waves were created. Art director Sabu Cyril designed the boats used in these water sequences, which reflect the style of the 90s and can even be used for real sea journeys.

The cinematography by R. Rathnavelu features some scenes shot in low-light conditions, giving them a distinctive color tone.

Devara will be released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. P. Ravi Shankar lent his voice to Saif Ali Khan’s character in the film.

Marathi actress Shruti Marathe plays a pivotal role as Devara’s wife, though her character was intentionally kept under wraps in the trailer, adding an element of suspense.

Even before its release, Devara has already set records. The film’s song has created a sensation, amassing 100 million views on YouTube.
