Mahesh Babu is known for being reserved off-screen and also underplay his characters on-screen. He loves to showcase emotions in his eyes and many directors don’t real capture that aspect. Trivikram Srinivas has been able to capture his eyes, sharply in Athadu. Later, he made him open up like he did in Pokiri with a difference in Khaleja.
Now, for Guntur Kaaram, Mahesh Babu has decided to completely give away all his inhibitions. He stopped smoking on screen post Pokiri as it could result in him promoting a vice habit. He has decided to smoke beedi, for Guntur Kaaram to play the character of Ramana. Trvikiram Srinivas has decided to let him open up even more in this film.
But Mahesh Babu did not like smoking beedi and he had migraines after smoking one. He shared about the same with the director. Immediately, the team of Guntur Kaaram has ordered an ayurvedic beedi specially, for him. Post that he did not feel nausea or migraines. Hence, they continued to showcase him smoking those ayurvedic beedis.
Mahesh Babu revealed this in an interview to Suma. He doesn’t like to give interviews and run around the world to promote his films. But he gave one for Guntur Kaaram and looked excited about the result. Movie has released on 12th January and it has collected over Rs.200 crores gross, worldwide in 4 days.
Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ramya Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Jayaram played other important characters. S Thaman scored music and team released Ramana Aei lyrical video from the film’s album.
