Tollywood star Jr NTR is on a roll with multiple major projects, including War 2 underway. While he’s currently shooting for his upcoming film with KGF and Salaar director Prashanth Neel, he is also gearing up for his much-awaited Bollywood debut with War 2, where he stars alongside Hrithik Roshan. The film is being directed by Ayan Mukerji and is part of Yash Raj Films’ spy universe. It is set to release worldwide on 14 August 2025 in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil.
In a notable development, the Telugu theatrical rights of War 2 have been officially acquired by Sithara Entertainments. The announcement was made by producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi on social media, accompanied by a specially cut video featuring posters from Aravinda Sametha, Devara, and War 2.
Naga Vamsi wrote, “Hat-trick loading! Excited to bring War 2 to theatres in Telugu states. The celebrations begin on 14 August.” This acquisition marks a continued collaboration between Jr NTR and Sithara Entertainments, who previously released Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava and Devara, both of which performed well at the box office.
There had been rumours of heavy competition among top producers for the Telugu distribution rights of War 2, given growing national popularity of Jr NTR and the film’s grand scale. Reports suggest Sithara Entertainments secured the rights for a substantial price.
As a high-stakes spy action thriller, War 2 is one of the most anticipated releases of 2025. With a massive cast, an established director, and strong distribution backing in Telugu states, expectations are sky-high. All eyes are now on 14 August to see how this cinematic spectacle unfolds.
