At a recent event, Nelson Dilipkumar provided an update on the highly anticipated sequel. He confirmed that the script for Jailer 2 is complete and pre-production work is proceeding at a brisk pace. Nelson hinted that a major announcement regarding the film will be made within a month, adding fuel to speculation that the project might officially launch on October 2. Fans are eagerly awaiting this confirmation, as Nelson’s comments have heightened expectations for the sequel.

The original Jailer, which released in August last year, grossed Rs. 700 crores, a testament to its massive success. In addition to his work on Jailer 2, Rajinikanth is currently involved in multiple other projects. He is set to appear in Vettayan, directed by T.J. Gnanavel and produced by Lyca Productions, alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, and Fahadh Faasil in key roles.
