The cyber crime police, who stepped into the field on the complaint of Film Chamber, said that they have registered a case against these two websites and started investigation.
A person named Ravi, who was popularly known to have managed the original Ibomma website, has recently responded to this matter. He made it clear that he has nothing to do with the new ‘Ibomma’ website which is now available on the net. Some scammers said that they are creating and running a new website using the iBomma brand name. Ketugals are uploading all the big and small movies released in recent times on this new Aibomma and Bappam websites. Building on the popularity of iBomma in the past, they are creating new domains with the same name targeting movie lovers. As these piracy sites are having a severe impact on OTT and theater collections, Film Chamber has taken this matter seriously.
Cybercrime police have registered a case against the administrators of Ibomma and Bappam websites on the complaint of Film Chamber representatives. Where are these sites being operated from? Who is the gang behind this? In this sense, the police intensified the investigation on the basis of IP addresses and domain registrations. Apart from banning the piracy websites, he said, a manhunt has been taken to catch the criminals who are running them.
