Analysis:

Prasanth Varma made an impressive debut with Awe and then made a different comedy, Zombie Reddy. Now, in HanuMan he tried Super-hero genre. And he even announced PVCU with this film. His bravery in attempting a film like this is appreciable at a moderate budget. He gave ample time to the VFX and CGI artists to deliver goods. His vision and ideas are appreciable too. But in his next films, if he doesn’t rely on scenes that seem to follow a template and create even fresh content that would benefit the Universe to sustain, further.

Within the budget constraints, the team made a very impactful film. Mainly, monologue about Hanuman and the infusion of characters with mythology is also impressive. The problem lies in Deja Vu of watching many Super-hero movies that follow such generic template. Still, film delivers a lasting impact with the climax portions and arrival of Hanuman is handled brilliantly by the team. BGM for this portion stands out. Visuals in the entire film are praise-worthy.

Teja Sajja has given his best to become the character. It seemed like a tailor-made role for him and he carried the movie on his shoulders. Ravi Teja’s voice helped in making monkey character have great funny moments. Amritha Aiyer, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar leave a good impression. Vinay Rai is very good in villainous role but he and Vennela Kishore get very generic scenes to perform. Overall, Prasanth Varma has delivered a watchable Super-hero film in a limited budget.

Bottom-line: Hanu-Man arrives!

Rating: 3/5
