Leading Telugu producer Dil Raju, along with his brother Sirish, has unveiled a new platform called Dil Raju Dreams (DRD), aimed at helping fresh talent break into the film industry. The initiative was launched at a special event attended by over 2,000 hopefuls and industry guests, including actor Vijay Deverakonda.
The idea behind Dil Raju Dreams is to create space for young and skilled individuals who are looking for their first big break in cinema. With Sri Venkateswara Creations already focused on large-scale productions, Dil Raju said there was a growing need for a separate track to encourage new voices.
“We’re working on big-budget films right now, but we also want to give upcoming talent a chance,” Raju said. “That’s why we created DRD. A team of 14 young professionals with strong technical knowledge will guide the process, and we’ll be involved in mentoring every step of the way.”
He also shared that operations will begin on 1st July, and the first project is expected to be confirmed by the end of that month.
Vijay Deverakonda, who joined the event as a guest, reflected on his own journey. “Fourteen years ago, I was one of those people looking for auditions. I got lucky with Life Is Beautiful, and it changed my life,” he said. “I know how much this means to so many people. Even if it helps just one person, it’s a success.”
With Dil Raju Dreams, the producers hope to provide not just opportunity, but also training and support — making it a welcome initiative for the next generation of filmmakers, actors, and technicians in Telugu cinema.
