CM Revanth Reddy HHVM

CM Revanth Reddy allowed to hike the HHVM, Hari Hara Veera Mallu movie ticket price. In both Telugu states, the release of big-star movies often creates huge fan excitement, sometimes even chaos outside theatres. One such tragic incident happened in December 2024, during a promotional event for Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre, where a woman lost her life in a stampede and her son fell into a coma. The incident shocked Telangana and sparked a strong response from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Back then, CM Revanth made it clear that he would not support benefit shows or events that risk public safety. He promised to stop such shows and warned the film industry against exploiting fans in the name of previews and hype.

However, his recent actions regarding the film Hari Hara Veeramallu seem very different. Surprisingly, the CM has approved a hike in ticket prices and even allowed premiere shows, which has led to mixed reactions.

According to the Telangana government’s orders, Veeramallu tickets for multiplexes can be sold for up to ₹600 during July 24–27. An additional ₹200 hike is allowed for multiplexes and ₹150 for single screens. Between July 28 and August 2, multiplexes can charge up to ₹150 extra, and single screens up to ₹106.

Producer AM Rathnam thanked Rohin Reddy, a close aide of CM Revanth, for helping get permission. Rathnam said that after the Pushpa 2 incident, they had no hopes for benefit shows or price hikes. But with Rohin Reddy’s help, they got approval for special shows.

Some people are questioning why Veeramallu got special treatment, while earlier, Revanth took a strict stand. Still, it is reported that the Veeramallu team is being very careful and is avoiding any hype or risky events to prevent a repeat of the Pushpa 2 tragedy.

This apparent change in the CM’s approach has created both appreciation and controversy in the film and political circles.
