While he did direct Batman movies, Dark Knight Trilogy, he hasn’t gone back to comic book films post that. With Oppenheimer, he has been able to give a huge box office blockbuster with a biopic.

Like all of his films, this one also got huge critical acclaim. But no one anticipated this movie to become a blockbuster that earns US$900-950 Million with a scientist’s biopic. He took the story of Robert J. Oppenheimer, father of Atom Bomb, and made a great engaging drama around the atom bomb creation. His way of narrating the story and performances have made the movie another memorable one from him.

In fact, several critics and filmmakers observe that all he learnt while making all his films till date, came together in making this film. Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Florence Pugh gave great performances. Now, Christopher Nolan has won Best Director Golden Globe at the event conducted on 7th January.

Along with him, Oppenheimer movie has won Best Film, Golden Globe. Cillian Murphy – Best Actor, Robert Downey Jr. – Best Supporting Actor and Ludwig Göransson – Best Original Score won Golden Globes for their work in the film.

In his speech, Nolan has stated that he is happy for finally winning it and previously, he accepted it for Heath Ledger, posthumously, for The Dark Knight. He got slightly emotional and is wife, Emma Thomas also stated that she is glad that Nolan, finally, got rewarded. Well, we are too and now, on to Oscars.
