Originally a yoga teacher, Anushka never planned to enter the film industry. However, she made her acting debut with the film Super, starring opposite Telugu superstar Nagarjuna. Reports suggest that she used to charge around ₹3 crore for a film, but now her fee has doubled to ₹6 crore. She is said to be receiving this amount for her upcoming Telugu project, Ghati, and also for a Malayalam film.
