Aa Okkati Adakku Movie Rating: 1.5/5
Allari Naresh after a gap of few films has decided to try his hand at a clean comedy family entertainer. Using his father EVV Satyanarayana’s all-time cult blockbuster title, Aa Okkati Adakku, Naresh has come up with this comic caper as Summer holidays delight. Let’s discuss about the film in detail.
Plot:
Ganapathi aka Gana(Allari Naresh) doesn’t find a match even though he is an eligible bachelor. He never fell in love, has a government job, never took a loan and even got his younger brother married before him. Even though he appears to be a perfect match, brides find one or other reason to reject him. With his friend’s suggestion, he joins Happy Matrimony and meets Siddhi(Faria Abdullah). She happens to be a fake bride planted by HM. Why? What will Gana do after knowing the truth? Watch the movie to know more.
Analysis:
Allari Naresh is one of the finest performers of Telugu Cinema. There is no doubt that he can pull off any character but he cannot pull a lethargic script on his shoulders, no matter, how experienced and skilled he is. The character doesn’t have any sort of emotional connect with the audiences even though Rajendra Prasad, Venkatesh have pulled off such roles with great comic timing. With clever writing and innovative thinking even Allari Naresh could have done equally good job.

Faria Abdullah is good in parts and at times, she looked confused. All other actors also either looked confused or disinterested. Jamie Lever, daughter of Legendary comedian Johnny Lever, did not make a big impression as the scenes given to her don’t grow above regular serial scenes. Going against frauds committed by Matrimonial sights is a noble idea but showcasing protagonist as a person, who is leading his life just to get married doesn’t bode well for this plot.
He could be facing funny problems and comments like “Pelli Kani Prasad” from Malliswari or funny pressure from boss like “Brahmachari Mogudu”. But here trying to showcase how a society tries to pinpoint about a person’s inability to get married in time like a huge social problem, doesn’t really sit well. It needed more material to convince audiences about the situation that lead actor is facing than just noisy neighbours and melodramatic situations. Overall, the movie doesn’t really grow on us than just being an idea.
Positives:
Allari Naresh screen presence
Few jokes
Negatives:
Everything else
Aa Okkati Adakku Movie Bottom-line: Relentless torture
