India to test Driverless Metro rail quite soon

India has been trying to innovate in transport and automobile sector regularly. The government has announced that they will introduce bullet trains in the country quite soon. Along with that, Government is looking to improve services in Railways by upgrading more coaches in trains to Vande Bharat Express level.

Now, for commute Metro Rail system in Metropolitian cities have become a necessity. Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi Metro rail have been helping many passengers to commute in the over congestive cities, in recent years. Government has decided to now introduce Driverless Metro Rail as well in India.

From China, the first testing coaches of driverless metro rail have come to India. Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited, BMRCL, have stated that the coaches have reached India from China. Soon, in the Yellow Line between RV Road and Silk Board, the driverless metro rail is going to run as test.

Post this, BMRCL is waiting to receive 216 coaches from China’s CRCC and the corporation is planning to run 15 metro rails in the same route with 90 coaches. Well, for this project they got the contract for Rs.1,578 crores. In coming days, the trail run will be finished and more rails will run in the Yellow Line.
