Stock Markets end with up with losses post Holi

Stock Markets have registered losses on 26th March 2024. Investors have shown more interest in selling off their holds after the Holi session. International Stock Markets have also ended with losses and this resulted in this reaction from Investors. Big stocks like HDFC Bank, Reliance have lost big time. Hence, BSE lost 361.64 points to close at 72,470.30 and Nifty lost 92.05 points to close at 22,004.70 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading at 72,396.97 and then continued to trade between 72,705.29 – 72,363.03. Index started lower than the previous closing. It kept oscillating in the red between huge losses and nominal gains. As big stocks kept crumbling, BSE also ended the trading session at 72,470.30 by losing 361.64 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 21,947.90 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,073.20. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 21,947.55. Index started lower than the previous closing and recovered a tad bit in first hour. But big stocks started losing all the momentum and ended up with losses. Hence, Nifty50 ended by losing 92.05 points on 22,004.70.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.29 against US Dollar on 26th March, 2024. Powergrid Corporation, Bharati Airtel, Wipro, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank shares have been Top Losers. Bajaj Finance, L&T, NTPC, Axis Bank, Tata Motors shares have been Top Gainers. Post Holi holiday, investors seem to have gone for selling off their holds. We have to wait and see, how they approach from next session.
