Stock Markets after huge crash on 3rd May, ended flat on 6th May. Investors started the session on a high note. International Stock Markets have ended with gains and this helped the markets to start on a positive note. But banking sector stocks faced selling pressure. Hence, BSE gained 17.39 points to close at 73,895.54 and Nifty lost 33.15 points to close at 22,442.70 mark.
BSE Sensex started trading at 74,196.68 and then continued to trade between 74,359.69 – 73,786.29. Investors have been circumspect throughout the session. The huge oscillations between gains and losses let them to sell off their holds in big banking stocks, majorly. Hence, BSE ended the trading session at 73,895.54 by gaining 17.39 points.
Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,561.60 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,588.80. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,409.45. Investors started selling off their holds in several big stocks after the positive start. With huge oscillations between losses and gains, Nifty50 ended the session by losing 33.15 points on 22,442.70.
Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.52 against US Dollar on 06th May 2024. Kotak Mahindra Bank, Hindustan Unilever, TCS, Sun Pharma, Mahindra & Mahindra stocks have ended as Top Gainers. Titan, SBI, NTPC, L&T, Powergrid Corporation stocks have ended as Top Losers. Stock Markets could go through such weak sessions in coming days too, say experts.
