Stock Markets have ended the session flat yet again on 8th May. Investors have been highly circumspect due to the parliamentary elections. International Stock Markets did not have much effect during this session. With FMCG and Banking sector stocks losing gains, BSE lost 45.46 points to close at 73,466.39 and Nifty lost no points to close at 22,302.50 mark.
BSE Sensex started trading at 73,225 and then continued to trade between 73,684.93 – 73,072.93. Investors have started the trading session with losses and oscillated between gains and losses. But at one point, it lost more than 600 points in one session and recovered. Hence, BSE ended the trading session at 73,466.39 by losing 45.46 points.
Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,231.20 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,368.65. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,185.20. Investors have started below the previous closing and continued to trade with gains and losses. With investors being so circumspect, Nifty50 ended the session by losing no points on 22,302.50.
Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.51 against US Dollar on 08th May 2024. Asian Paints, UltraTech Cements, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC Bank, HCL Technologies shares have ended up being Top Losers. Tata Motors, Powergrid Corporation, NTPC, L&T, Maruthi shares have ended as Top Gainers. Stock Markets seem to have caught up with negative trends.
