Disney has released a poster and trailer for the much-awaited film Tron: Ares. This science-fiction adventure is the third chapter in the legendary franchise, following the original Tron (1982) and Tron: Legacy (2010). The film is set to release in India on 10 October 2025 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
A futuristic story: Tron: Ares tells the story of an advanced programme named Ares who makes the leap from the digital world into the real one. The film centres on his dangerous mission, which also becomes the first meeting point between humanity and Artificial Intelligence (AI) beings. This theme makes it one of the most anticipated science-fiction releases of the year.
Highlights for fans: Fans of the franchise will be delighted to see Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges return to his iconic role. Jared Leto leads the cast as Ares, joined by Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Gillian Anderson. The international line-up promises a powerful screen presence.
Music lovers will also have something to celebrate. Grammy-winning band Nine Inch Nails has contributed a special track titled As Alive As You Need Me To Be, which is expected to be one of the film’s major highlights.
