England found themselves in a fix after their defeat against Australia in T20 World Cup 2024. Their match against Scotland got washed away with No Result after few overs have been bowled. They needed a big win against Oman, in a complete match. They found the same by winning against Oman by 8 wickets with 101 balls remaining.

England won the toss and elected to field first. English bowlers did not let inexperienced Oman batters to score freely. Only Shoaib Khan could score in double digits and he scored 11 runs from 23 balls. Oman got bowled out for just 47 runs from 13.2 overs.

Jofra Archer(3/12), Mark Wood(3/12) and Adil Rashid(4/11) took wickets at regular intervals. With a very low score to chase, Phil Salt started the innings by hitting 2 sixes and got out on the third ball. Will Jacks scored 5 runs from 7 balls and got out to Kaleemullah in second over.

In the next over, Jos Buttler took on Bilal Khan. He scored 24 runs from 8 balls and Jonny Bairstow scored 8 runs from just 2 balls he faced. Well, England scored 48/2 from just 3.1 overs. With such a huge victory, they have gotten huge NRR boost. They have better NRR than Scotland and they need to win big against Namibia.
